Orly finally got a J - O - B

That's right folks. You heard correctly. Orly landed a job. Not just any job. A better job than what he's had in the past. This is a career. For almost 7 months now he's been relentlessly searching and applying and getting closed doors shut in his face. It has all finally paid off. He starts on June 8Th and we're so thrilled because he's really pumped about it. He is what they call a "producer" for a State Farm Agent in Austin. He's going to be out and about getting new accounts. Life policies, health, auto, etc. Best part about it is that he can office out of anywhere. Coffee shop, the living room, out of town, whatever.

Time for Maddox to start going back to daycare. He will hate it at first, then gradually he will learn to love it. They will potty train him which is worth every single penny we shovel into that place. Last week as Orly was in the bedroom, Maddox was running around the house with Clyde. Maddox peeks into the bedroom and Orly sees that Maddox is naked. His initial reaction is what the fu... As Maddox turns around to run AWAY from Orly, he sees that Maddox has poop all over his butt and on his fingers. He jumps off the bed and discovers a pile of poop in the living room. Maddox had taken off his pull up and then proceeded to defecate on the floor of the living room. So again, whatever they do to train him to pee and poop in a toilet is money well spent. Plus, I'll be kid free on my days off. HOORAY!! Wait, does that make me a bad mother? To take your kid to daycare on your days off? Hmm...Nah! I need my time too.

Because he's so darn cute....

We thought we almost lost him yesterday. It felt like we lost a child. Luckily, he was just hiding in my closet amongst all my scattered clothing on the floor. I'm pretty sure he heard Orly's voice and thought he was in trouble so he didn't respond to any commands. We gave him extra belly rubs yesterday. On another note.... his mouth is really huge. Just an observation.

Poor Madd...

Poor Maddox. He has an ear infection. Poor little guy. He woke up screaming in pain this morning. He had snot everywhere and you could tell he was feeling like death. Orly took him to the Dr.'s office and sure enough he was in the beginning stages of an ear infection. Ear aches are the worst!!! I had so many when I was a kid I had to get tubes in my ears. They help. A lot.

Let's hope Maddox feels better before Christmas. I really want him to be able to rip open a present this year. He feel asleep during last years present unwrapping. Although, sleep sounds like a present in itself right now.

I can't remember the last time I was able to sleep in. :(
