Turning 30 took a lot out of me...

which is why it's taken THIS long to post another blog. Anyone buying it? Didn't think so.

I'm going to blog about what's on my mind RIGHT NOW. RIGHT NOW i'm thinking about money. Orly not having a job for 6 months going on 7 has started to take a toll on our bank acct. We have always had the emergency savings fund but seeing it dwindle down is hard to swallow. I love that he's been able to take care of our home and our kids but i'm ready to get back to living. Living off of one salary is HARD! I don't know how people do it. I can't live like this!! Fortunately, things have been a bit better lately. Orly has TWO very promising interviews on Monday and Tuesday. I hope to GOD that he lands one of the two interviews. This freaking economy sucks and it looks like its only getting worse. It's so depressing to see our beautiful country crumble to almost nothing. It's so hard to catch a break in this economy. Please send good vibes to Orly on Monday and Tuesday. He will definitely need it.

Dun-Dun- DUNNNNNNNN

Tomorrow is the day I swore would never happen. I turn 30 years OLD! OLD, not young. I hate it when people say they are "30 years young". WTF ever! I'm not taking it well. I think that my life is passing by way too quickly and it's passing by without me ever having any fun. Don't get me wrong here, I love my life. I do. I love my family, my friends and I even *heart* my job. I just really wish there was more time for all of the things that I love doing and people I love being around. I don't think life was intended for it to be this way. I don't think we were made to work 40 plus hours a week working for the "man" and spend time away from our loved ones.

I really can't complain about my life. For instance, I still have all of my appendages. Which when you look back at all the things that could have possibly taken your arm off and yet you still manage to have it on your person, that's pretty damn amazing. I'm also sane. I'm probably the most "sane" person out of my friends, present readers excluded of course. I also have the family thing down. I don't have a family to "start" or a boyfriend to marry so I'm good in that department. I'm also happy that I'm with someone who is in it for the long haul. Someone who accepts me for all of my flaws, my weird family, and my introvert personality. Thank you for putting up with my sh*t. Let's hope I get better with age.

Do you ever worry that people aren't going to show up to your own party? I do. Maybe it's just my insecurities. Side note, people really need to be more cordial and RSVP by the date requested. That really annoys the FRENCH (rock of love bus) out of me. Thank you for those who did and a big F YOU to those who didn't even feel the need to reply, "maybe", "no", or "yes". As if taking an extra 3 seconds of your facebook time to simply click a button would be too much to ask for. Who cares if I'm saying this anyway? NO ONE READS MY BLOG! and those of you who do, did RSVP. :)

Anyway.

30 is not the new 20. 30 is 30 and I'm just going to have to live with it. On another note, I'm getting WASTED tomorrow night. I don't want to be coherent in any way shape or form. There's only one 30th birthday a girl can ever get. I may as well start the 30's off with a grand entrance.

The Birthday Girl! psst...it's the one on the right.

Sorah's 19th birthday celebration at work. Nerd power!

Cupcake

Kelly brought Sorah cupcakes for her birthday cause she had to work on her birthday. Boo Hoo...she turned 19. Lets all cry and complain about how OLD we're getting. Ugh. What i'd do to go back to that age.

Actually, Kelly will bring cupcakes for any damn reason. I'll be expecting some homemade ones on Wednesday. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADDOX!!!

It's my baby's first birthday!! Horray! We didn't do much for his first birthday. I read that first birthdays can be traumatizing for kids his age. Some parents over do it with clowns and crap. We decided to barbeque and snap a few pics while doing so. He enjoyed the cake so much he had to put his hands in it. If I wasn't house broken, I would too.
