DONE!!

Orly finished all the touch ups and soon enough I'll be posting pics of the new wall color. I LOOOOVVVEEEEEEE the colors. I do have a dilemma though...I'll take pics and see what you all think.

Interesting....

Tonight I'm going to V's house because she and her roommate are throwing a "passion party" if you know what I mean. I've been to one in the past and I was pretty flabbergasted at how women act at these things. I mean, am I just a prude? Don't answer that. I just don't think cheering at tassels and rubber thingies is necessary. Also, I don't really want to know what my friends' taste in toys are. Anyway, this should be interesting. I'm not really feeling all that well so I may not stay very long. Freaking allergies are out of control. My nose is red and raw. It looks like I got beat with the ugly stick.

I compared allergies from Austin to Pittsburgh for curiosity sake (I'll be there next week) and basically PA has almost zero allergens. How fantastic is that? Also, allergies are worse in San Antonio and further down South Texas than Austin. Who knew?? I'm never going South again!

Don't be dirty, people.

Oh, I'll definitely be mobile blogging some pics from tonight's event for my very, very few readers.

Allergies hurt, ya'll.

My eyes feel like they are bleeding. Visine doesn't help the redness. I can't see because when your eyes feel raw you can't wear your contacts and I don't have glasses. That's right! No glasses. I really need to work on that. I should have made that one of my NY resolutions.

I'd post a pic but no one wants to see that.

New house

Not really...but we ARE painting! Orly has been working his tooshie off yesterday and today to paint the kitchen and living room. I haven't seen the finished results yet but he sent me a cliffhanger a while ago.

How long has it been for you??

Since you've thrown up? If you remember there was a Seinfeld episode about this.

Well, I broke my 2 yr mark and did it last night. I'm not happy about this. At ALL!!!

It's funny how you're having a good time, drinking a few things here and there, enjoying conversation and then BAM! You're drunk. You realize that your words are slightly slurred and you make extra effort to talk coherently. Walking is a challenge. You don't care about your makeup anymore because even if you try to fix it you are more than likely to make it worse. Hair is not an issue anymore. Humidity? Pfft. Thing of the past. I experienced the spinning room last night. I also had to sleep with one foot touching the floor so It wouldn't be so horrible.

How the hell did I do this in my younger years??

Question?? Why does your entire body hurt the day after? Seriously. I feel like I ran a freaking marathon. My legs hurt. :(

Old 97's

Kelly and I went to La Zona Rosa to see this band. They were really good. I enjoyed them. We were about 4 rows from the front (standing room only) and we were behind the most obnoxiously drunk and annoying couple in Austin. They were "drunk dancing" and knocking into everyone around them. They were playing grab ass and practically making babies in front of a few hundred people. Kelly, my little vegetarian-cupcake lover friend who is a seasoned and experienced show-goer decided that they had bumped in to us one too many times and asked them to move behind us. The guy rudely denied us and continued to bump and grind his very drunk date. About 15 min later after he knocks into us a few MORE times she pushes him away from her. He responds with a fist in her face. He didn't punch her but he would have had there not been any witnesses. Kelly is about 5 feet and pocket sized. He was about 6 feet and a gym rat. He cussed her out and told her if his gf wasn't there he would have punched her in the face. She argued back and actually found it humorous. As for myself, I stood there in shock. Typical of me. His drunk gf/date seemed annoyed that we didn't like them making babies in front of us . As if we paid money to watch them make out or something??

An older gentleman in the crowd near us saw that this roided out prick was about to hit Kelly and he kindly stepped in. The jerk turned around and continued to do act the way he had for the past hour or so. After 20 more minutes him and his girlfriend turned around and stomped on our feet and pushed us out of the way as they made their way out. People around us that witnessed everything were very happy that they left.

What a creep!! Sorry- no pics of him. I keep forgetting to take my digital camera with me.

New Years Resolutions

1. Lose weight! I always say this but it's really hard! I'm an emotional eater. I eat when i'm stressed, happy, sad..whatever. I suck at life.

2. Spend more time with the kids! I know it's not possible because I work ALL the time but what I mean by this is to spend more "quality time" with them. I need to be more involved or whatever that means.

3. Be more productive! That would mean at home, at work, with friends. I've seemed to slack in a few of those categories and I need to be better.

4. Get out more. I'm a home body. I've been awful about it lately. I've pretty much shunned almost all of my friends to opt for reading at home in old pj's.

5. Use my gym membership. Do you know how many times I went to the gym last year? I pay over 60.00 a month in fees to 24 hr fitness and I went a whopping 4-5 times in the ENTIRE year! Another reason why I suck at life.

6. Read more.

7. Get my credit cards paid off. HA!!

8. Save money instead of spend money.

9. Cook 90% of my meals.

10. Bring my lunch to work.

11. Buy a bike and actually ride it.

12. Update my blog more often.

12. Go to more shows/concerts.

13. Get allergy shots.

There's a ton more but i'm kind of tired of this post already.

Mmmmm...

Well hello there! You are sooo yummy! I love his hair like this. I like either way but now he's not hiding behind his hair like he was before. Plus, I'm not down with the greasy hair look. I stopped liking Ethan Hawke for those reasons exactly.

Can't wait for the new movie to come out!!

Poor Madd...

Poor Maddox. He has an ear infection. Poor little guy. He woke up screaming in pain this morning. He had snot everywhere and you could tell he was feeling like death. Orly took him to the Dr.'s office and sure enough he was in the beginning stages of an ear infection. Ear aches are the worst!!! I had so many when I was a kid I had to get tubes in my ears. They help. A lot.

Let's hope Maddox feels better before Christmas. I really want him to be able to rip open a present this year. He feel asleep during last years present unwrapping. Although, sleep sounds like a present in itself right now.

I can't remember the last time I was able to sleep in. :(

Christmas!

I haven't started shopping yet. Luckily, I was able to purchase Orly's online and pick it up in store but the kids' gifts aren't that easy. There's nothing worse than having to shop at Toys R Us. Trust me on that one. Parents aren't that friendly and neither are the staff. They hate all parents and they hate kids even more. Pretty ironic if you ask me. Not only that but there are never any "deals" when it comes to toys. Why?? They know the parents will buy them anyways regardless if it's on sale or not. Bastards.

Ryan wants wii / Nintendo DS / PS 2 games. Yeah, all 3. Because 2 at home game systems and one portable gaming system isn't enough. In addition to that, he wants star wars crap, Ben 10 crap, spider man & Iron man junk too. That's just want he WANTS. That's not including the stuff he says he wants when he sees something at the store or in the paper. Toys R Us also MAILS him stuff too. Isn't that thoughtful of them?! Jerks. Aren't they closing down stores? Maddox is too young to have a Santa list. I'm sure Maddox will enlist Ryan into writing down his Santa list next year.

I wonder... is it too young to announce that Santa isn't real??

In the words of Nelson, "Ha-Ha!"

Mommy meth dealer, really?!!

True Blood anyone??

I've managed to watch 3 episodes and so far I don't know what to make of this show yet. It's a little "low rent" right now. There are a few scenes with Sookie and Bill where I'm cringing because I can't stand how cheesy they make them look in a scene.

My issues so far are:

Sam's thoughts cannot be "heard" by Sookie like they are in the show.
Tara and Lafayette are NOT main characters nor are they related
Tara does not work at Merlottes damn it!!
Jason is supposed to be hot.
Bill is too normal looking for my tastes.
Tara and Sam never do the dirties like they did in the show.

Small things, yet annoying things none the less. I can't wait to see Eric! I love me some Eric.

Fatty patty maddy!

Hmm..this was taken a while ago but i was going thru my pics on my p.o.s. Phone and found this in there. At least my phone takes good pics and i can mobile blog. People ask me why i dont go back to blackberry. Thats my answer. Priorities, yo.

Proof that anyone can find "Love".

CHICAGO — Drew Peterson, who is still married to his missing wife Stacy, is now engaged to a 23-year-old Chicago-area woman, his publicist said today. Glenn Selig said the 54-year-old former police sergeant has been seeing the woman for about four months. She’s the same age Stacy was when she disappeared last October. If they marry, she will be Peterson’s fifth wife.

Peterson is a suspect in Stacy’s disappearance, which police have called a "potential homicide." Peterson has long claimed that she left him for another man.

Selig also noted that Peterson was in the process of getting divorced from his third wife, Kathleen Savio, when he got engaged to Stacy.
Savio, 40, was found dead in an empty bathtub in her Bolingbrook home. Her divorce from Peterson was only weeks from being finalized.
Although her death initially was ruled an accident, authorities reclassified it as murder after a second autopsy was conducted in the wake of Stacy Peterson’s disappearance.

Read-o-holic??

What is up with me lately?? I don't find TV interesting at all. I don't find anything on the internet interesting either. All i want to do is READ! Occasionally I go through these bouts of binge-reading and then something with more precedence takes over my life (kids or work) and reading gets put back on the shelf (no pun intended). I can't stop. I find it hard to put a book down. I'm sometimes up till 2 a.m. reading. If I start a book I have to keep reading it till it's over. It's getting pretty ridiculous. Orly is now saying, "you and that damned book". He's no fun.

I finished the Sookie Stackhouse books and am anxiously awaiting the new book (march, i think) to come out. I hate Bill. I love Bill. I love Eric. I hate Quinn. I need something new. I need another distraction. A new series. A new book.

Possible next reads are...

Atonement (loved the movie, the book must be better)
The Vampire Diaries
The Host

Anything else I should consider??
